All Seasons Training - The Weekly Club Run

Throughout the year, every Sunday, the club has an organised, mid-paced, sociable ride which leaves from outside the Plough and Harrow pub, Church Road, Llansamlet.

Summertime (April - September) we leave at 9am prompt
Wintertime (Oct - March) we leave at 9.30am prompt

The next Club Run is on and is no more than miles.
The route should loosely be:

Our upcoming clubruns are:

Our Winter Training shedule is agreed each year, but typically looks like this:

Tuesday night: Felindre for a pacy 1 mile outdoor 'circuit' on a quiet but poorly lit road (Council cutbacks, so lights on your bike are definitely required). Only, just added but try search on google maps for Swansea Wheelers Felindre Loop. Alternatively, here is a link for streetmap [ click here for map ]
Wednesday night: Club night at Llansamlet Community Centre primarily for socialising but feel free to turbo-train (if you wish).
Saturdays: Revised! First Saturday of the month brings a chance to get muddy with some enthusiastic MTB riders!
Sunday morning: The classic Sunday Club Run, whatever the weather... we go out!

In addition to this some members of the club also get together with other local cyclists for a hard and pacey Saturday ride, and fast paced 'chain-gang' rides twice a week around the lakes at Llansamlet. This is great race training but not for the faint hearted.

Summer Training also varies each year

During the Summer the club arrange a programme of rides, normally Tues and Thurs.

Tuesday rides will be a mix of 10 mile time trials, chain gang rides and promoted events, whilst Thursday rides will generally be a pacy training ride (around the Gower) getting longer as the nights get lighter.
Further details are provided via the club email circular.
