Race Race Race
March through to September is realistically Race Season in one form or another. As a cycle club
Swansea Wheelers likes to do it's fair share of organising to help ensure cycle racing in the amateur
ranks continues.
Our efforts to support local cycling include arranging:
One leg of the Magic Dragon (Time Trial Series);
One Criterium race (Crit) at Pembrey;
One Club Audax ride.
One Road Race day (The Gateway to the Beacons Road Race);
(Unfortunately we are not able to run the Beacons Road Race during 2010)
We can only continue to provide these opportunities whilst we have a sufficient number of members,
and willing volunteer members at that. Cycling at a local level depends on YOU being a member of
your local club and helping support local cycling.
Racing within the Club
The number of riders racing or time-trialling in club colours does vary from year to year.
We are a small but competitive club (when the mood takes us) and if you want to race or
time-trial for us then you will always find members quite willing to assist or advise you.
NB: You may also find us on facebook - although please bear with us as we may be changing our presence there to
a different type of 'page' which will give us more functionality. Remember, we are always looking for new
members so if you are interested, then get in touch!.
